Abstract

The case of a 22-year-old patient with a history of Hansen’s disease (HD) who presented typical dermatological lesions of this pathology associated with paresthesias in the upper limbs. Complementary imaging studies were performed with nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) acquisition that showed alterations in bilateral brachial plexus with greater involvement of the left side. The plexus showed thickening and hyperintensity in STIR and long echo time sequences of all components of the brachial plexus. This findings had been reported in patients with HD with peripheral nerve injuries.
