This paper seeks to review the state of anxiety and depression among patients within phase II of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program of the Colsanitas Clinica and Universitary ColombiaClinic in Bogota. 119 patientswere interviewed as they entered the program from. The psychiatrist of the therapeutic team performed
a semistructured interview. Sadness and anxiety showed up in de majority of patients. Risk factors for coronary disease are widely
known. However an integral approach including the amelioration of patients emotional state is fundamental.
