Resumen

La enfermedad cerebrovascular se incrementa cada día con una incidencia global de
258/100.000 y con un aumento en las cifras de supervivientes que pasaron de 17,9
millones en 1990 a 33 millones en 2010; constituye una de las patologías que mayor impacto generan en la calidad de vida de los supervivientes, creando la necesidad de que esta sea evaluada, medida y tenida en cuenta para estudios de investigación, para generación de políticas públicas en salud y para crear estrategias de manejo que se adecúen a las necesidades expresadas por los pacientes.
