Abstract

The goal of this study was to explore the correlation between four neuromuscular risk factors for back pain and lordotic index in the program students Sports Science and Recreation of the Technological University from Pereira, Colombia.
This research was correlational, with a non probabilistic sample intentioned, was composed 18 men and 15 women, who were evaluated lordotic index, the strength of the rectus abdominals, muscle endurance of the lower back and extensibility of hamstring and hip flexors. In the recordings obtained were applied statistical test Pearson correlation coefficient and for find some significant differences between genders were applied Student t-test. Correlation wasn´t found between the different factors and the index lordotic. Nevertheless significant differences were found in hamstring extensibility gender.
