Abstract

Lateral ankle sprain is a very frequent injury in clinical practice and one of its complications is an peroneal nerve injury. Although there are few reported cases, the high incidence of this pathology suggests that the lesion is poorly diagnosed. In spanish medical literature only there is only one case report. Two cases of this lesion are presented and its pathophysiology, type of nerve injury, recovery time and electrophysiological findings are discussed.
