Abstract

New coronavirus infection (Covid-19) described on December 2019 has developed a largescale pandemic with worldwide devastating consequences with health implications generating short- and long-term complications that are still unknown. There are cardiovascular complications secondary to Covid-19 infection that have been described, including arrhythmias, acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, and thrombotic events showing the association between previous cardiovascular diseases and Covid-19 coinfection and the worse outcomes in these patients. Taking this association into account, it is important to create or strengthen cardiac rehabilitation programs that use technological tools to promote telerehabilitation and thus improve people’s quality of life, favoring theirindependence.
